Taveuni offers a number of options with regards to bure accommodation. A bure (boo-ray) is the Fijian word for a small house that can be similar to a cabin. A bure can be very simply constructed in true Fijian style at backpacking destinations, but can also be more elaborate with self-contained bathroom, electric ceiling fans, and more luxurious fittings at the moderate to up market destinations.
