Lake Tagimaucia

Lake Tagimocia is perhaps the famous landmark on Taveuni. It is situated in an extinct volcanic crater, at a height of 832 metres; the lake is filled with floating masses of vegetation. Access to Lake Tagimaucia is by four-wheel drive only. It is approximately 1200 metres above sea level. The flower is a beautiful red bloom with a white centre and grows nowhere else in the world and is Fiji’s National Flower.
